Curbside Appliance Recycling

October 4, 2021

Call JR's Advanced Recyclers between 9/1 - 10/1 to schedule a pick up at your home for your large appliances. Pay JR's directly.

JR's: 651-454-9215. Reservations needed.

First appliance $25, each additional appliance, $10.

Examples of appliance JR's will collect: dishwashers, furnaces, refrigerators and freezers, water heaters/softeners. Call JR's with questions: 651-454-9215.

Toy Swap

WHERE: Dakota Lodge, 1200 Stassen Ln, West St. Paul

WHEN: Noon-2pm

Join us for another FREE toy swap event. Bring a toy (or not) and take a toy home with you. No limit. Only clean, good-condition toys will be accepted with all the necessary parts to work. For more information visit Mendota Heights' website which details which items are and are not accepted. We are accepting canned food donations for Neighbors Inc at this event.

Open to residents in South St. Paul, West St. Paul, Mendota Heights, Lilydale, Sunfish Lake and Mendota.

Fall Paper Shred Event

WHEN: 9am-noon

Join us for another FREE shredding event held at Mendakota Park in Mendota Heights from 9AM-noon. Bring documents in paper bags please. No limit. Open to residents in South St. Paul, West St. Paul, Mendota Heights, Lilydale, Sunfish Lake and Mendota.

Pumpkin Recycling Event

November 6 -7

WHERE: Wakota Federal Credit Union, 1151 Southview Blvd

WHEN: 8am-8pm

Join us for another FREE pumpkin recycling event. Bring your unpainted pumpkins to the giant dumpster in the parking lot and toss it in. No limit, no candles, wax or painted pumpkins accepted. Open to residents in South St. Paul, West St. Paul, Mendota Heights, Lilydale, Sunfish Lake and Mendota.

Recyclable Materials

For information on what to recycle, please visit Dakota County’s Recycling Guide.

Please do not bag recyclable items in plastic bags. Keep them loose in your cart or bin.

Special Note on Plastics

Some plastics are recyclable while some are not. Some recycling haulers are collecting more types of plastics than in the past, so contact your recycling hauler for a detailed list of which types they accept from your curbside recycling bin. Place recyclable plastics in with curbside recycling
